Over a century ago, Township Mutual Insurance Companies were formed to help provide insurance coverage for rural farms or homes. Mower County Farmers Mutual, as a township mutual insurer, continued to offer insurance coverage for farms and homes. We reorganized and converted in 2006 as a mutual insurance company, so that, effective January 1, 2007, we provide fire and wind coverages and package with Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company's liability coverages.
